March 1, 2020-Rock Guitar Snippets Added

Most of my songs on this site are of me playing acoustic guitar. Recently added to the "MUSIC" page are a few snippets of me doing the hard driving rock thing on electric guitar.

January 2016 -- My First Original Song

"Alone At Christmas".  I wrote this song on Christmas Day, 2015.  In an effort to get it recorded, I made a single mic acoustic demo recording for the song in early 2016. That version can be found on the "MUSIC" page.  I am working on arranging a multi-instrumental full version of this tune.  For now, I hope you will enjoy the acoustic version. (Finally--My first completed original!  About time, right?)

September 2015--U2'S "All I Want Is You" Added

A rough cut recorded in 2011. I really need to re-cut it.  It is one of my favorite U2 tunes.  I can't hit Bono's high notes at the end, though, so I just left those vocals out.

January 2015--Sinead O'Connor's "Black Boys on Mopeds" Added.

I recorded this rough cut of "Black Boys on Mopeds" by Sinead O'Connor back in 2011.  Like some of the other tracks here, it is just me and my guitar with a single microphone.  I am not that pleased with it, especially tne vocals, but considering all that is going on in the United States right now, I think it quite timely  and appropriate that I include it here.  The song is based on a true story from England, and one need only mentally change some of the words to have it overlay onto a number of news stories that unfortunateky played themselves out on the streets of America in 2014.

February 2014 -- Track 4 Added

A rough-cut cover of Pearl Jam's "Future Days", recorded with a single microphone, has been added.  It is track #4 on the music page.

August 2013--New Multi-track Recording.

My first ever multi-track, multi-instrument recording.  It is all me--the vocals, all the instruments, recording, engineering and mastering.  For my first such attempt, I chose to cover Mazzy Star's "Flowers in December". It is track #3 on the music page.
